I will be using Lulu to create my own using Adobe Lightroom

the files are imported into a Standard landscape 10 x 8 in of 29 pages.

In the Book module, photos are layout to my liking and information from the internet has been included as a description.
A few adjustment is done using the left panel - sharpening, adding pages, photo and text size, type font and empty background display.

Once all set, I simply export them as PDF for viewing, printing or online catalogue.

the PDF version as a Booklet layout.

Topic 25 - Introduction to the DE VERE 504DS Digital Enlarger.

What we learnt from this topic is:
You will have successfully completed this module when you can:
- Convert colour images into black and white with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
- Resize an image
- Change canvas size
- Select appropriate resolution for required output

Before we process the photo through De Vere enlarger, photos must be edited if it is from colour to BW.

For example:

Topic 23 - A-02: Project Work

Image on glass will be my final decision in this Project. That did not just stopped my there but a few more research took my attention on creating a 3d effect.

First attempt:
Separate the photo and created 4 layers in photoshop.

Scaled the photos to the right size as to the glass dimensions.
Photos are printed and trimmed and the transfer process begins.

Medium Gel is spread onto the glasses and photos are glued facing down.

Left overnight to dry.

They are then scrubbed with a medium hardness of a toothbrush under running water.

It wasn't a happy result as the glue is on the glass although the image is clear, which reduced the visibility to the back. Lessons learnt !!

 the FINALE
So went and bought a dual layer photo float glass frame ($10) and a glass top skid protector ($2)

Here we go...
measurements must be right as it will be floating image with no guide.

Photo is separated in 2 layers in Adobe photoshop. Printed and trimmed the lady out from the paper.

Used a anti skid rubber and place at the bottom of the glass to avoid the glass from moving. The cutting mat will be the guide for my image placemen at the center of the glass.

Instead of spreading the Medium Gel onto the glass, i had it on the printed photo instead. This will avoid any mess overspread on the glass, which will result a dirty gluey finish.

Let it dry overnight

Scrubbed under running water with a brush

The failure

The front picture of a lady is place first into the frame, followed by the protector to gap the glasses, which brings out the look of a floating 3d. Then the background image.

Topic 21 - Pin Hole Camera

My Pinhole camera

The basics or fundamentals of camera obscura was discovered by Alhazen (Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥasan ibn al-Haytham) when he invented the pinhole camera (camera obsura).
The camera obscura has been used for over a thousand years; its origin predates even the invention of optics. The first camera obscura was simply a small hole in one wall of a darkened room or tent. Light passing through the hole formed an inverted (upside down) image of the outside scene on a white screen placed across the room from the hole. The image was dim and fuzzy, but it did accurately show the scenery in full color along with the motion of birds, ocean waves and tree branches swaying in the wind.

Sharpness – Size of hole, quality of hole (smoothness)
Lens choice ? Hole is the aperture- fixed – distance from CCD plane is focal length
Exposure – Trial and error but digi cams can guesstimate in live view.

Cut a round shape off a black sheet to fit the camera's opening.
moved the lens and tape down nicely without letting any light in.
